    Installing the program
There's no installation routine as such - simply put the program in a folder of your choosing and create a shortcut for your desktop.

    Using the program
BEFORE using GUIDTracker, it must be set up FIRST using the following steps:.

Do the following to set up a game prior to use:
    1. Ensure the options on the Program tab are filled in.
    2. Shut GUIDTracker down.
    3. Start your game and join a PunkBuster enabled server.
    4. Open the console / chat window (see below for which to use).
    5. Type in pb_LogToFile 1 (or /pb_LogToFile 1 whichever the case may be).
    6. Shut the game down.
    7. Start GUIDTracker and open to the appropriate game tab.
    8. Click on the Set Log Location button and select the pbcl.log file (if successful, the Set button will change to a Change button).
    9. Click on the Create Configuration File button and select Yes (should change to a Create button).
    10. Click on the Set Game Executable button and select either the program executable, its shortcut or a URL that starts the game (should change to a Change button).
    11. Fill in any Game Executable options you may need (see below) or leave it blank if you are using options elsewhere (eg. in the shortcut / Steam game properties).
    12. Press the Start Gaming button and enjoy.
Whilst in game, find a quiet place to update the GUIDTracker Online Players list by opening the console / chat window (whichever the case may be) and typing in the PB Players List update command (pb_plist or /pb_plist).

    Information Regarding Punkbuster Utilities
EvenBalance (designers of the PunkBuster Anti-Cheat system) have released two utilities to help users overcome problems they may be experiencing with PunkBuster. GUIDTracker is able to interface with these two PunkBuster utilities if they have been installed and the relevant fields have been filled in on the GUIDTracker Programs tab.

The PB Service Installation Utility is a tool that ensures the PunkBuster Services A & B as well as the system file PunkBuster K are installed and set up correctly.  If you've been having problems with getting kicked due to PunkBuster B not running or a PB Init error, then I suggest you run this program in order to help resolve those issues.   The PB Service Installation Utility can be found here.

The PB Setup Utility is a tool that sets up and updates the PB Client on your computer.  Although PB can and does automatically update while playing, this has a tendency to lag your game and often you end up getting kicked with a PB files message like a "time out trying to update pb client" or "PB server requires...".  It is highly recommended you install this utility to your local computer so you can use it to update your PB files prior to starting a game.  GUIDTracker can autorun the utility prior to gaming if the option has been selected.  This enables you to start gaming without worrying about having the latest client files.  The PB Setup Utility can be found here.

If you're having problems with PunkBuster, there are generic PunkBuster FAQ's here, as well as, specific FAQ's relating to the PB Services here.  Also, I've found that setting both PB Services to run under Administrator privileges seems to simplify fault finding.  You can do this by: right mouse clicking on "C:WindowsSystem32PnkBstrA.exe", selecting Properties -> Compatibility -> Privilege Level and clicking the box next to 'Run this program as an administrator'.  I do this for my game executables as well and I seem to have less problems staying connected.
